The Destination Management Company That Designs Every Event From Scratch

ONE Event is a destination management company. We design corporate events, conferences and incentive programmes from scratch. Each one starts with what the client wants to achieve, and is built for that client only.

We sell only destinations where we are physically present. In each one we have our own team on the ground, and supplier relationships built in person over many years. What we know about a destination, we know first-hand.

Every programme is overseen by the people who own and run ONE Event, from the first brief to delivery on site. You can reach us before, during and after the event.

Questions we are asked

Who can organise our corporate event in a country where we have no local presence?

A destination management company. A DMC is already on the ground: it knows the venues, holds the supplier relationships, and handles the permits, transport, staffing and production that have to happen locally. You keep control of the programme. Someone else absorbs the logistics and the local risk.

ONE Event works this way in 27 countries, with our own office and our own people in each.

Can one company handle corporate events across several countries?

Yes, and it is the reason the network exists. A multi-country programme runs on one contract with one point of contact, while each destination is delivered by the team who live there. A group can open in Munich and close in Hamburg, or move between Rio, São Paulo and the northeast, without you negotiating separately in every country.

You negotiate once. The work stays local.

What services does a destination management company provide?

Everything that has to happen in the destination itself: venues, hotels, transport, catering, production and technical set-up, team building, guides and staffing, permits, budget control, and management on the ground while the event runs.

That list is the same at every DMC. What differs is what gets proposed. Our Mexico team can build a Day of the Dead celebration for a group in March — the artisans selling their own work, the dancers, the altar, the flowers bought that morning, the difference between the night that belongs to the children and the night that belongs to the adults. It exists because our managing director there sits on the committee of the cultural foundation that runs the real festival, not because someone found a supplier.

What is the difference between a DMC and a DMO?

A DMO is a destination marketing organisation, usually public. Its job is to make you want to come. It does not run your event.

A DMC is a destination management company — a commercial partner that plans and delivers the programme once you have decided to come. A DMO may hand you a list of DMCs. The DMC does the work.

How far in advance should we book a destination management company?

Six months gives you the widest choice of venues and the better rates. For very large groups a year is realistic, though it depends entirely on the destination — some cities absorb several thousand people without difficulty, others fill up fast.

But there is no minimum. We have built and delivered programmes on two weeks’ notice. Short notice narrows the options rather than closing them, and if you are working to a date that has already been decided, tell us and we will tell you honestly what is still possible.

Which countries does ONE Event operate in?

27 countries across four continents.

In Europe: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and Turkey. In the Americas: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico. In Asia: China, Singapore and Thailand. In Africa: Morocco.

We sell only destinations where we are physically present, with our own office and our own team. Where we are not, we say so.

How much experience does ONE Event have?

More than 3,000 corporate events and incentive programmes delivered, and over 100 combined years of destination management across our teams — several of our directors have more than 25 years each in their own destination.

Every programme is overseen by the people who own and run ONE Event, from the first brief to the last night on site.
